The Argentinian company Stevial was created in 2008 through a joint venture with the French Lavollée group. The goal of this cooperation is to produce and commercialize concentrated sweet extracts (zero calorie) from the leaves of the Stevia plant. Following 15 years of research and development the joint venture is proficient in the:
Selection and improvement of the Stevia seed Cultivation of the crop Extraction of the sweetener, and, Sales and marketing of the ingredient internationally Their farms and extraction units are located in the region of Misiones (north of Argentina), a native area for Stévia rebaudiana bertoni. Stevial is dedicated to supporting the environment by using traditional farming methods and operate according to the principles of fair trade.
